Corning® Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), human recombinant, 1mg, is a low-molecular-weight mitogenic protein that stimulates proliferation of a wide variety of cell types in vitro. 100µg/container, 10/pack. These growth factors have been used to promote long-term proliferation in cell culture and to induce cell differentiation in a variety of cell types under serum-free or reduced serum conditions. Formulation Lyophilized from acetic acid, carrier-free; reconstitute in dH2O or aqueous buffer Preparation and Storage Stable for at least three months at 2° to 8°C (lyophilized) or = three months at -20°C (solubilized). Do not store in frost-free freezer. Avoid multiple freeze/thaws. Quality Purity: >98% by SDS-PAGE and reverse phase HPLC Shown to stimulate proliferation of human foreskin fibroblasts in serum-containing medium Filtered (0.2 µm membrane) and tested and found negative for bacteria, fungi and mycoplasma Source Recombinant, E. coli Molecular Weight 6.2 kD Tip Recommended concentration: 0.1-1.0 ng/ mL medium depending on cell type Storage Shelf life: >= 3 months from date of shipment at 2-8°C (lyophilized) or >= two months at -20°C (solubilized) This product is non-returnable.
