Sartolab® P20 Plus with 0.2 µm polyethersulfone (PES) is designed for sterile filtration of cell culture media and other solutions. It has a glass fibre prefilter and is optimized for particle-laden liquids for a higher total throughput. Type 18068 has a luer lock inlet and hose barb outlet. Version D is individually packed and sterilized by ethylene oxide (EO). Sartolab® P20 units can be processed with pressure using a syringe, a membrane pump, or a tube pump. This allows the quick and reliable sterilisation of 100 ml to 5 liter of media and aqueous solutions. The large filtration area (20 cm²) ensures high flow rates and optimal total throughputs. Versions with PES filtration membrane have a higher chemical compatibility than units with SFCA. Thus, they can be used with alcohols but have no PTFE vent ports as Sartolab® P20 filters with SFCA membrane. For filtration of aqueous liquids with a pH of 4 - 8 we recommend using units with SFCA. The vent releases trapped air and ensures that the entire filter surface is used, even in case of discontinuous filtration. · Fast filtration · Economic · Highest throughput · Suitable for aqueous and solvent samples
