These Centrifugal Ultrafiltration Devices for protein concentration remove proteins from difficult to filter samples, even whole blood or cell lysate samples. Ideal for removing low molecular weight substances or proteins for samples in the 0.1–2.5 mL range. Centrisart I Reverse Centrifugal Concentrators perform ultrafiltration against the direction of centrifugal force for fast preparation of ultrafiltrates.
· 10 kDa MWCO (CTA)
· Made with cellulose triacetate (CTA) membranes that have high hydrophilicity and very low nonspecific binding
· Volume Range of 0.1 to 2.5 ml
· Hydrophillic properties with very low non specific protein binding
· Cast without a membrane support that could bind filtered solutes for use when recovery of filtrate is most important (i.e. free drug or hormone testing)
· Separate proteins from low molecular weight substances in biological samples
· Deproteinate biological samples
· Reverse centrifugal concentration process prevents premature blockage of the membrane
· Unique design can be used in fixed-angle or swinging-bucket rotors accepting standard 15 ml tubes
· Ultrafiltration of 90% of the original sample volume is typically completed in about 30 minutes
· Ultrafiltrate is collected in the floater insert tube, where it is accessible without removing the tube
