These Centrifugal Ultrafiltration Devices for protein concentration remove proteins from difficult to filter samples, even whole blood or cell lysate samples. Ideal for removing low molecular weight substances or proteins for samples in the 0.1–2.5 mL range. Centrisart I Reverse Centrifugal Concentrators perform ultrafiltration against the direction of centrifugal force for fast preparation of ultrafiltrates.
· 300 kDa MWCO (PES)
· Made with polyethersulfone (PES) membranes that have a uniform surface devoid of hydrophobic or hydrophillic interactions, offering excellent protein recovery for most solutions. PES membranes exhibit low fouling characteristics, exceptional flux and broad pH range
· Reverse centrifugal concentration process prevents premature blockage of the membrane
· Unique design can be used in fixed-angle or swinging-bucket rotors accepting standard 15 ml tubes
· Ultrafiltration of 90% of the original sample volume is typically completed in about 30 minutes
· Integrated dead stop means there is no risk of over concentration and no need to re-spin samples
· Volume Range of 0.1 to 2.5 ml
· The filtrate is collected in the floater insert tube where it is easily withdrawn
